Just about halfway through rehearsals and we’re doing great. We did a run-through of Act I and it was an interesting knitting together of the work we’ve done so far. The cast sounds great. We’re working out the wrinkles of where, when, who and why. “LeCee, what happens if I forget where I’m supposed to come on?”, says seven year old Joseph. The answer: “Yes, Joseph, there is a Stage Manager….” We love Kaitlin!
We also love our cast parents who are coming out in full force both for the FUNdRAISER, for the sets committee, for the costume committee (Janet Mervin so far!) and for the concessions committee. Our company is unique in that we provide a full dinner menu for concessions. We have a “prototype” now and it works to provide delicious, nutritious meals for our theater audiences. Carol’s rice krispy treats, Christine’s green salad and SAMBUCA Restaurant’s pasta dishes have become a staple along with “somebody’s spinach pie” and vegetarian chili. ARTICHOKE Basille’s Restaurant and Pizzeria is providing their FAMOUS pizza for our concessions this show! CHELSEA MARKET BASKETS is providing cheese/bread/fruit platters for our FUNdRAISER and AVENUE is providing a gorgeous Victorian space, with staff, for our FUNdRAISER. We feel fortunate to have such good friends supporting our children!
