I’m giddy with excitement. Our kids have been rehearsing and are in good shape. They will look beautiful in suits for the boys and evening wear for the girls. We will have delicious food from RANA, Chelsea Market Baskets and The Lobster Place, plus beer from Avenue and wine from Appellation. I will make my spinach pie and a crudites platter.
Now my job is to organize the flow of the evening. Who will assist with set up and break down? Who will greet our guests and handle ticket sales. I plan to have people with red carnations on hand for any questions our guests might have about our company. I think the evening will clearly demonstrate who we are but it’s always nice to have someone to talk to.
It would be great to have sold tickets on line, but it hasn’t happened to this point. For our last show we didn’t sell tickets until the week before; so, I am confident that our guests will show up . . . on their own time . . . in their own way. I can’t wait!
